PONCHATOULA—The new year is off to a quick start for Tangipahoa Parish road crews as they start Phase I of the Hoover Road widening project.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller announced today that construction has begun on the roundabout project which will be located at the intersection of North Hoover and Sisters Road.
“Phase I will include storm drainage work which is now underway,” Miller said, adding that this portion of the project is expected to continue for the next several weeks.
Miller said motorists should expect some traffic delays as work is ongoing.
“As always, we ask that drivers be cautious of construction crews and heavy equipment which will be working in close proximity to the roadway during this process,” Miller said.
