HAMMOND—More than half of the roads scheduled for overlay under the Phase 22 contract are now completed, and work is continuing in earnest to finish the remainder of the projects before the end of the calendar year.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said this week that work is progressing well on the overlay project, which was delayed significantly by heavy rains this summer. Weather conditions pushed the project back several weeks; however, the recent stretch of blue skies has enabled the contractor to get much work done across the parish.
During the week of Oct. 24, crews will be working on the following roads:
- Paving (full-width): Ott Lane, Sewer Treatment Road, and Audubon Drive;
- Soil Cement: Audubon Drive, Sewer Treatment Road, Bella Gardens Circle, Riverdale Heights, North Brignac Road, Bradford Lane, Wilson Road, and Song of the Forrest;
- Patching: Ott Lane, Sewer Treatment Road, Audubon Drive, and Bella Gardens; and
- Dressing: Greco Road, Mayeaux Road, Crapanzano Road, Cannino Road, East Merry, Nicholas, Blaire, Milan, Naples, Kayla, Penny, and on North and East Charbonnet Road.
All work is weather-permitting. Any related closures will be posted on the day of construction.
