Overview and Impacts:
Tropical Depression Seven has formed about 800 miles east of the Leeward Islands. It is expected to move generally westward through the weekend while gradually intensifying into a tropical storm.
This system poses no threat to the local area and it is too soon to say whether the system will even make it into the Gulf of Mexico.
