PONCHATOULA—Right-of-way work will begin this week on the southwest corner of Hoover Road.

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said crews will begin the process of cleaning and “grubbing” of trees on the southwest corner of Hoover Road starting this Wednesday, May 18, around 8 a.m.

This process will allow contractors to relocate utilities in anticipation of the construction of a roundabout at Hoover and Sisters Road.

Miller said that this portion of the project is expected to take between 3-4 days, weather permitting. Hoover Road will remain open during this construction period; however, flag crews will be on site to stop traffic when trees are being removed. Miller said motorists should be advised and plan on delays in that area during the next few days.
