WHAT: MARGINAL RISK of Severe Weather today and Friday

WHEN: Today mainly after 3pm through the evening. Friday mainly after noon through the evening.

WHERE: Today along and north of a line from Gulfport to New Orleans to Houma. Friday, all areas west of Jackson County MS

CONFIDENCE: We are confident there will be thunderstorms across the area. We have little confidence that any will become severe.

Impacts:

The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:

  • Wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be possible

  • Trees and powerlines could be damaged and lead to isolated/scattered power outages
