Portion of Tangipahoa River Reopens

UPDATE: As of September 8, 2025 at 3:00 PM, from Black Bayou to the mouth of Tangipahoa River is now open to all marine traffic. Be mindful there is a light sheen of oil residue still present on the water in these areas. Do not navigate north of Black Bayou including cross any boom placed across the river or interfere with booming and recovery operations.
