Southeast Louisiana Historical Association Tangipahoa Parish Sesquicentennial Celebration
The Who: Southeast Louisiana Historical Association (SELHA), hosted by the Center for Southeast Louisiana Studies director, assistant director, and staff.
The When: The event will start at 6:00 PM on April 17. Dinner will be served prior to the meeting presentations (which start at 6:30).
The Where: Hammond Regional Arts Center, Levy Building, 217 East Thomas Street
The What: At the event, Dr. Rob Moreau will discuss the development of Turtle Cove Environmental Research Station and the environmental threats to Manchac swamp, and Dr. Samuel Hyde will speak about the general history of the parish is his talk, "Tantalizing Tidbits about Tangipahoa".
The How: If you wish to join attend the meeting, here's how! To join the SELHA, new members pay $25.00 (this includes payment for the membership and dinner and open bar for the meeting). Member spouses can attend the spring meeting for a discounted rate of $10.00 (this includes dinner and open bar for the meeting). Non-member participation in the spring meeting is $15.00 per person (this includes dinner and open bar for the meeting).
