The Seersucker and White Linen Southern Summer Social will be held on July 13th at Blythewood, a plantation listed on the national history register, and one of the first homes built in Amite. The event will feature an art stroll, jazz music, later a dance band fabulous food, festive booths, specialty drinks and more to be added. The conclusion of the Blue Dog Raffle will be at 10PM, and there will be surprise live auction valuable items also. The beginning of the Men’s Hair for All for the 150th anniversary is July 15, so permits will go on sale tonight. Special groupings of local artist work will be on display featuring flora and looks of Tangipahoa Parish. A wonderful summer festive evening to enjoy. Inclusive price $100 per couple.
