150th Anniversary Art Contest

Theme

Favorite Scene in Tangipahoa

Rules

Submit 2 dimensional original artwork between the sizes of 8.5” x 11” and 14” x 22” in any medium including pencil, marker, crayon, or ink. Artwork should pertain to the theme of favorite scene in Tangipahoa.

Contest is open to students of Tangipahoa Parish Schools from the 1st thru 8th grades. Artwork must be original and the creation of the submitter. Submissions should be delivered before the deadline to the principle's office of their school with the following info clearly written on the back of the artwork:

  • Name
  • Grade
  • School Name
  • Guardian’s Phone Number
  • Guardian’s Email address

All submissions must be received by 4PM on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019.

Selected artworks will be included in a gallery show at the Florida Parishes Arena on September 21st. Submissions will be kept until October 31st at which point they will be returned to the school of origination.

Prizes

Art Works will be judged by a panel of judges based upon adherence to the theme, creativity, and artistic skill. Winners will be notified via email by 5PM on September 21st, 2019.

Prizes will be awarded by mail within 4 weeks of winners announcement.

• 1st Place: $100
• 2nd Place: $75
• 3rd Place: $50

By submitting your artwork to the contest, you release the Tangipahoa Parish School District and Tangipahoa Parish Government from any responsibility of your artwork should it be lost or damaged. Please read the submission form carefully; incomplete submission forms will not be accepted.
